I replaced the decaying wooden ball trim on my fence with these, and they have a lovely warm light. My neighbors love them. Even on mostly cloudy days, they come on at dusk....at least for a short time. The only negative is that some do not stay lit as long as others, all of which have been equally exposed to sunlight. I have tried moving them around with the same results.Not large but pretty and elegant in my garden. I ordered more.Send 1 pair of spikesThese are beautiful at first, however, do not last. The globe has a crackle pattern, and it says 1 pack which I thought meant 2 globes, but it does not you only get ONE. This light is it made with fairy lights inside and the cover has the solar unit in it. I put it on the table the first night and let it charge for about 6 hours and it went on at dusk and was still lit when I went to bed so good job. I like this solar globe but for the price tag of $18 at the time of this review, there should have been two.This is really pretty and I like that the solar panel is protected inside the globe. It's essentially a small string of fairy lights inside a crackled glass globe. Unfortunately, there is a rather noticeable seam running around the center of the globe, and some dimpling in the glass at the top. It would look nicer without those. It still looks nice from a distance at night. I did not use the stake, preferring to just place it on a side table in our gazebo so it is better protected. It only gets full sun part of the day, but is still glowing when I go to bed. The current price I'm seeing, after a coupon, is $14.15. It would be worth that if the quality were a little better, but as it stands I think it's a bit high.This solar globe looks very pretty in my yard. It's a nice size too, about as big as a grapefruit. The glass is sturdy and strong and has survived being knocked into by dogs and kids.It doesn't stay lit all night and is usually very dim compared to my other solar lights. I think the fairy lights may be blocking the solar panel on the bottom.Update, after about a week: This does collect condensation on the inside of the globe, and I find I have to dump out the water periodically. I still love it, but I'd love it more if it didn't need tending.I have a black dog I need to let out in the evening and have some solar lights in the yard as a result. This is the nicest one by far.When I ordered this, I didn't actually realize that the globe is glass and not plastic. It's nice thick glass, and that's part of what makes this so nice. The crackle glass and the little crumpled up string of LED lights work well together.I'm impressed that the technology is there for this -- not just this light, but for lights like this in general. The hockey pucks absorb the energy during the day and keep the light on in the evening. This seems to work for me even during a Maine winter... although I just got this one, so I can't assert yet that THIS one will do that. But, I really think the technology is where it needs to be for this and maybe not so brand specific.
